A post on LinkedIn aimed to show how large Africa is, compared with other continents. This was done through placing outlines of other countries inside Africa. Judging from the comments it did not work well.
Map projections are often notoriously incapable of representing land masses correctly. This is the case with the Mercator Projection, the de facto standard projection in use globally, and has led us to gross misrepresentation of, among others, Africa.
